Today at the UIL Spring Band Contest in Sundown, our talented band students performed beautifully prepared music and then conquered the challenging sight-reading portion of the contest — learning a brand-new song in less than 15 minutes.
Their hard work paid off in a HUGE way!
The MHS Band earned Division 1 ratings from every judge AND the coveted Sweepstakes Award!
This achievement reflects countless hours of rehearsal, teamwork, and dedication under the leadership of Mr. Reston and Mr. Stefano.

Hoy en el Concurso de Banda UIL de Primavera en Sundown, nuestros talentosos estudiantes interpretaron música preparada con gran calidad y superaron el reto de la lectura a primera vista — aprendiendo una pieza completamente nueva en menos de 15 minutos.
¡Su esfuerzo dio grandes resultados!
La Banda de MHS obtuvo calificaciones de División 1 de todos los jueces y el prestigioso premio Sweepstake.
Este logro refleja horas de práctica, trabajo en equipo y dedicación bajo la dirección del Sr. Reston y el Sr. Stefano.
