We're off to a great start to the 2020-2021 school year, and it's hard to believe the first month of school is already coming to an end. We truly appreciate all of the support from school administrators from across the South Plains. We know you all have great teachers and we look forward to continuing our 9-year tradition in honoring them throughout the year.
Remember, all winning teachers will receive a $200 prize package from United Supermarkets and the Texas Tech Club. Plus, the student who nominates a winning teacher will win a $50 American Express gift card.
We have one week to go in our back-to-school promotion to celebrate the start of the school year. All entries received by the end of the month will be entered into a drawing where one lucky student will receive a $50 American Express gift card and free Mrs Baird's Bread for a whole year for the student's family. That's a lot of sandwiches for the lunch box! Plus, United Supermarkets put together a great gift bag for our winner too.
It doesn't stop here. We know great things go on in our classrooms and online learning every day. Please encourage students and families to continue nominating their teachers all year long.
Our entry site, www.MrsBTeacher.com, is open throughout the school year, so don't forget to nominate your favorite teacher! As social distancing becomes our new normal for the time being, we know teachers are now having to step outside their comfort level and teach in a different way. But they are still making an impact, and we still want to honor those who make these special impressions and go above-and-beyond. Therefore, PLEASE let students and families know that even though they may not in the school building, learning continues and the Teachers On The Rise program continues too....and since our nomination site is all online, this is a perfect way to honor teachers while practicing writing skills, typing, and yes--even social distancing. Please stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
How the Program Works
Every month this school year, we will select three winners-one in elementary, one in middle school/junior high, and one in high school. These winners can come from any school district in the area-even private schools. We then plan surprise presentations for the winning teachers and students. We try to make these presentations as big as possible from an all-school assembly, to a part of a pep rally, to even halftime at a high school football game! For now, presentations will likely be scaled back due to COVID-19 and campus restrictions. But we are doing everything we can do ensure your teachers get the recognition they deserve.
Teachers On The Rise winners receive great prizes including a $100 United Supermarkets Shopping Spree, a lunch for two to the private Texas Tech Club, and a gift basket full of products and goodies from Mrs Baird's Bread. To encourage students to enter their teachers, we give each student who nominates a winning teacher a $50 American Express gift card.
How to Enter
Students are able to log onto our website: www.MrsBTeacher.com and write a short essay on how their teacher(s) go above and beyond the call of duty. What better way for students to express appreciation for their teachers?
