Well...it’s been an awesome final week with our 5th graders of Deshazo Elementary! We’ve learned about local history at Muleshoe Heritage Center, participated in water day, had loads of fun at Joyland, and finished off the week with crazy relays and a “signing party”. It’s been a great year and we wish these kids the very best next year at Junior High.

This will be a district wide yearbook this year therefore will not be available for pickup until registration in August for the 2021-2022 school year. MHS Celebrated the retirement of two dedicated staff members - Mrs. Vicki Burch and Mrs. Josie Guerrero for their many years of service to the students of MHS! They will be truly missed and we wish them best in their new endeavors!
We had another drawing for the students who did not miss ANY days of school this ENTIRE school year!!! Wow! you all did awesome and the Dillman staff hopes you have an amazing summer playing with your new cool scooters!

The Muleshoe Youth Football Camp is just around the corner. The camp will be held Tuesday May 25th-Thursday May 27th from 8:30-10:30 AM. This camp is for all incoming 3rd-7th grade student athletes. Campers can register the day of the camp if they haven’t already pre-registered. The cost of the camp is $20. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt and football. All instruction will be provided by Muleshoe High School and Junior High Coaches. If you have any questions please contact Coach Richards at jrichards@muleshoeisd.net.

Wednesday, May 19th, DeShazo will host a water day for students. Please send your students in a t-shirt (non-white) and shorts. Ladies may wear a bathing suit underneath their t-shirt and shorts. Boys may wear swim trunks and a t-shirt. Please have students wear water shoes, if possible. Students may bring caps, sunscreen, and a towel. Please label all items with the
student’s name. They may also bring money to purchase items from a concession stand. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office at (806) 272-7364.

I am late with this post but congratulations to Cash Reeder, Braden Shipman and Zach Radloff for All-District boys golf and Brenna Butler, Kristina Arzola and Mikaela Haseloff for girls All-District. Heather Chavez, Grace Leal, Nathan Ferguson and Ryan Clifton were Honorable Mention.
Huge congrats to Grace Leal and Kristina Arzola who were named First Team All-State Academic and Braden Shipman was All-State Academic Honorable Mention. Congrats to these great young adults.
