More Watson JH Book Club pics...
The Watson JH Book Club spent their Friday on a well earned field trip. They traveled to Barnes and Noble in Lubbock where they competed in a scavenger hunt. The students were all able to choose a book of their choice, and then enjoy a nice refreshment at Starbucks. Lunch was provided across the street at Cici’s Pizza. We are very proud of these students, and the effort they put forth to make book club successful. Sponsors: Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Frost, and Coach Johnson.

DeShazo parents, there will be no after school activities on Monday, April 26th, due to a faculty meeting. After school activities will resume on Tuesday of this week. Please plan for your student to go home as they normally do. Thank you!

Deshazo 5th graders finished off a long week of hard work getting ready for STAAR testing with a talk on wind & weather and a fun afternoon of kite flying at our school playground!
Mrs. Cage’s class learned all about the plant life cycle by planting sunflower seeds on Earth day! They ended the week by sharing an “earth worm” snack with Mrs. Dixon’s class.
Family and Consumer Science students learned about functions of ingredients in baking this week and made homemade pizza - using yeast - from scratch! It was a successful day in the cooking lab!!

Deshazo’s robotics teams competed today live via “zoom”. These kids have been working since December with their robots. We are so proud of them and all the work they have put in.
Softball playoff T-shirts are available for sale now through Friday (4-23) @ 3 PM. Please turn in money and forms to either Trista Villanueva at DeShazo or A.J. Villanueva at the HS.
