At the regularly scheduled September 16 Board Meeting, the Muleshoe ISD Board of Trustees discussed appointing a local patron to replaced Mr. Kurt Miller for Board Position 3. Mr. Miller resigned at the August Meeting and the Board was excited to have seven members of our community turn in applications to serve on the Muleshoe ISD Board of Trustees. After prayerful discussion and thought, the Board appointed Mr. Jeff King to Board Position 3. Mr. King will be sworn in at the October 21, 2019 School Board Meeting.
Mr. Jeff King is a 2001 graduate of Muleshoe High School and received a degree from Wayland Baptist University in Occupational Education in 2009. Mr. King’s wife, Suzanne is the director of CTE at Muleshoe High and is currently a part time professor through Tech University in the Muleshoe Grow Your Own Grant from the Texas Education Agency.
The King’s have two children enrolled in Muleshoe Schools, Isla King is in 1st Grade, and Rex King is enrolled in PreK.
